Cookies & Dreams in Coralville is seeking a part-time Dream Team Bakery Associate.
Reports to: Production Manager, Store Manager
Summary of Position Our Dream Team Associates perform a variety of duties including greeting & serving guests, receiving payments, maintaining cash drawers, beverage preparation & stocking counters. They are also in charge of executing recipes, baking cookies, topping cookies, and making fillings and toppings (including chocolate ganache, puppy chow, frostings, and icings), preparing orders & following bakery pars & policies to produce cookies.
Duties & Responsibilities

- • Always come to work with a clean uniform.
- • Follow health codes and maintain a safe, clean, & organized work environment.
- • Be a team player—support & assist your fellow team members whenever possible.
- • Greeting guests & taking orders.
- • Ringing guest orders into the cash register or POS system.
- • Responsible for properly charging the guest & collecting payment for orders.
- • Responsible for processing credit & debit card transactions.
- • Answering the phone & taking phone orders.
- • Interacts with guests in a friendly & efficient manner.
- • Stocks display counters accurately & efficiently.
- • Prepares house-made fillings and toppings (chocolate ganache, puppy chow, frostings, icings, etc.) according to exact recipes.
- • Cleans equipment, as assigned, thoroughly & in a timely fashion.
- • Keeps the floor in the work or service area clean & free of debris.
- • Completes shift work, as assigned, timely & thoroughly in accordance with company standards.
- • Handle a fast paced environment with ease along with a sense of urgency.
- • Produce cookies with a near perfect level of consistency & accuracy.
- • Identify & evaluate problems & alert management as needed.
- • Be able to follow directions well.
- • Follow communication procedures, guidelines, & policies.
- • Be well versed in the baking procedures, toppings & requirements.
