The Cookies & Dreams Shift Lead is responsible for leading and supporting all areas of cookie production (cookie cakes, mini's, large cookie catering orders + shipped orders) when a manager is not present to produce required amounts on schedule. When a manager is present a shift lead will assist as needed in all areas of production. Our production facility and equipment need to be kept clean and safe at all times. Products need to meet or exceed Cookies & Dreams Quality Standards, while keeping ingredient and labor costs top of mind.

Responsibilities Include:

• Effectively lead as Manager on Duty when other managers are not available
• Ensure Cookies & Dreams cookie standards, recipes and systems are executed correctly and consistently
• Demonstrates a positive leadership style that creates a pleasant and safe work environment
• Create and maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following and enforcing food safety, and sanitation requirements
• Be attentive to customer feedback and propose any necessary changes for improvement to management
• Communicates priorities, goals and feedback to bakery team members
• Assist with labor management, including managing breaks & cutting staff when necessary
• Communicate any additional staffing needs or recommendations
• Opening/Closing Procedures:
• Ensure correct amount of cash is available in cash drawer at beginning of day
• Inform Managers of necessary bank runs
• Closing of cash drawer at end of day
• Informing Managers of discrepancies in end of day cash drawer report

Skills + Experience:

• Basic/Intermediate computer skills
• Basic math and financial management
• Previous leadership experience in restaurant, catering or hospitality
• Good communication, interpersonal, and team building skills
• Works well with others in a fun, fast-paced team environment
